What is the camp?
The Next Level Brisbane Music Camp is a full-day, non-residential camp for young musicians ready to level up their playing. Across three immersive days, participants join forces to form a full symphony orchestra, building toward an epic Finale Concert on the final evening at the historic Old Museum Concert Hall in Bowen Hills, Brisbane.
What Music Will We Play?
This year's theme is VIDEO GAMES. Players will rehearse and perform some of the most iconic and exciting soundtracks from video games such as
- Super Mario Bros
- Halo- Civilisation IV
- World of Warcraft
- Minecraft
- Angry Birds
- The Legend of Zelda & more
Over the three days, the orchestra will typically work through 10-12 pieces, giving participants a diverse and challenging musical experience.
Who CAN ATTEND?
This camp is recommended for musicians aged 12-24 (or turning 12 this year) from Brisbane and the surrounding regions who meet the minimum required skill levels.

Auditions
There is no audition required, but we do ask that participants (and their teachers) ensure they meet the minimum requirements before registering. We will contact you if it appears we need more information to gauge your meeting of the skill requirements.
CAMP LOCATION
Old Museum, Brisbane
480 Gregory Terrace
Bowen Hills, QLD
This historic venue will host the entire camp from rehearsals to our grand Finale Concert performance.
ACCOMODATION
As this is a non-residential camp, participants will need to arrange their own accommodation if travelling from outside Brisbane.
We recommend booking as early as possible, as accommodation near the venue tends to fill quickly during this period.

Children dropped off before the specified time are not subject to supervision from camp leaders.
DAILY SCHEDULE
Camp Sessions:
Wed & Thurs - 9am - 4pm
Fri - 9am - 5pm
Over the three days, the orchestra will typically work through 10-12 pieces, giving participants a diverse and challenging musical experience.
NOTE: Attendance is mandatory for ALL sessions.

As this is a full-day, non-residential camp, participants will need to bring their own food for morning tea and lunch each day (Wednesday–Friday).
Please ensure participants bring enough food and water for the full day.
On Friday evening, pizza will be provided for all participants before the Finale Concert.
Any dietary requirements must be specified during the registration process.
FInale concert
The finale concert is an opportunity to showcase all the music played over the three days. It is open to the public with tickets available below.
The concert is also an opportunity for players to dress in their favourite video game character. It's your time to go all out!

Important info

All camp fees are non-refundable.

In the event of illness preventing attendance, partial credit toward a future camp may be given to that participant (a medical certificate may be required)

If the camp is postponed by the organisers de to unforeseen circumstances, it will be rescheduled and the fees and registrations will be transferred to the new dates. In the unlikely event that the camp is fully cancelled by the organisers, a full refund will be provided.
